So today was kind of nerve wrecking. I mailed out my dress to DB. I’m really nervous and hope it will get there! It’s really dumb though, that I have to wait to be refunded then rebuy the dress. Shoot, I might be smaller by then

Other than that, nothing real special happening. I mentioned earlier this week that I was going to be busy with my sorority and helping out this week. I’ve never really talked about my sorority so I guess I’ll make a little plug It’s a latina founded sorority however, it has really become very diverse with girls of all backgrounds joining. Especially at my old university where there aren’t many diverse groups on campus, it’s a good escape into familiarity sometimes. We do community service (we are service based) and focus heavily on academics. We also are very new with our national chapter founded in 1993, and the chapter up here founded in 2002. It’s definitely NOT your typical sorority. I don’t think we should be really called a sorority but we are We are tight knit, small and really make an impact on campus. Most administrators who know us on campus have good things to say about us, so needless to say we have a pretty strong, positive reputation.

That’s my little plug about my sorority and hopefully give some of you guys some insight onto the whole thing

This weekend will still be a little busy but hopefully I can at least rest! Lately, I’ve been playing Mercenaries 2 to relieve some steam and trust me..its working. I’m also applying for the graduate program hopefully tomorrow. I’ve got everything I need except two letters of rec, which thankfully the problem I had earlier has been resolved. I can use letters from people who observed me in the same setting. Which made me feel sooo much better. So hopefully, I can apply without drama, and get in. I think I am applying pretty early so lets see!

Well I’ll try to blog again this weekend but I can’t promise anything! I know I’ll be sooooooo exhausted. BTW I am so envious of her because she gets to start teaching, even if it is a subsitute position ;-P

Gawsh, weekends go by so quick. I hate it! This weekend was quite interesting. Saturday, I lazied around, cleaned up a bit and also played tons of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. *happy sigh* I love blowing stuff up in that game, really releases that tension! ha! Marcus and I also ran errands and I bought some new face wash, moisterizer, a face mask and some wax strip stuff. (Which I think I had a reaction to the last time I got my eyebrowns waxed !)  I also bought a new portable HD. OMG. I love it. I’ve backed up both my computers and I still have 109 GB left. After I finish backing up my old HD, I’m going to burn copies of everything and DELETE DELETE DELETE! ^_^ We also went to see the movie “Traitor” which is freaking awesome. I strongly suggest you go see it! It’s really powerful in its message and reaffirms that I absolutely love Don Cheadle.

Yesterday was interesting also. I went to work and someone vandalized the front door to the biology building (where I work) with writing that said “Animal Testing is Mean.” Ohh yeah, mean huh. You’d THINK these animal rights activists would be more intelligent. puuhhleaze. I was going to rant yesterday about this but I’d prefer not to because I know my stance, I know theirs, for some, minds can be changed and others are so enthralled in their beliefs that it’s pointless to talk to them anyway. ::sigh::

But anyways, then Marcus and I had a bit of a “tiff” but things are better now. I hope. Otherwise we spent more of the night rearranging our apartment and wow I love it! We moved the living room to the “dining” area (we sold our dining room table) and our desks and stuff to the living room area. The extra room is now our “quiet room” aka storage for stuff. haha! But it has the stuff that was scattered over the dining room. It’s nice and I LOVE IT. I can’t wait to move because I think I want to retain this setup, having the den and “office” together. Speaking of moving, I CAN’T WAIT.

This week is recruitment for my sorority (BTW can someone help me figure out why the heck the front page is messed up in FF but the other pages work fine? GRRR!) and I am going to all the events to help out since there are very few ladies left and I want to help preserve the sorority. So I’ll be busy doing that all week. It’ll be fun though.
